Kansas City Ballet shares the joy of dance with students of all ages at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Based on Bram Stoker’s chilling novel set in Victorian London, Kansas City Ballet will bring the spellbinding story to life as choreographed by Michael Pink.  Kansas City Symphony will play Philip Feeney’s haunting original score.  Sounds of beating heart effects, howls of wolves, thrilling sets and dazzling costumes all make Dracula a bravura work of dance theater.

The Nutcracker 2013

Two act ballet based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story—featuring vibrant costumes, elaborate scenery, and stunning sets, this holiday classic tells the timeless story of Clara, the Mouse King and her Nutcracker Prince.

Location: Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts 
Fee:  All seats $10
Audience: Suggested for 2nd grade and older

Prepare your group before the show
See props, costume pieces, special effects, slides, audio excerpts, learn about the story, composer, performers, choreography and audience etiquette.

Inclement Weather Policy
Due to the varying weather policies of area schools planning to attend our student matinee performances, Kansas City Ballet will offer an alternate opportunity to attend a ballet performance or educational program in the event that a school is unable to attend their scheduled performance.  Refunds will be given only in the event of cancellation of a performance by Kansas City Ballet.
