Select physical therapy
Kansas City Ballet is grateful to Select Physical Therapy as they once again serve as the official physical rehabilitation provider of the Kansas City Ballet and its performing artists. This year marks the 26th year that Select Physical Therapy has provided services to ballet members both on-site and at its downtown Kansas City center. Led by Abby Fitzgerald, DPT, CMPT, Dawna Gilbert, ATC, and Michael Holmes, DPT, their team brings more than 19 years of experience ensuring our dancers are performing at their peak performance level.
Like many athletes, our dancers often challenge and push their bodies to levels that put them at greater risk for injury. Through Select Physical Therapy’s customized performing-arts program, performing artists are treated for acute and chronic injuries, and are instructed on injury prevention and maintaining muscle balance for proper dance technique. Select Physical Therapy’s highly-trained clinical team provides preventative and rehabilitative care that maximizes functionality and promotes well-being in patients of all ages and abilities. Individualized treatment plans are developed to help achieve each patient’s specific goals. Through experience, advanced clinical training and clear communication with patients, Select Physical Therapy gives the advantage in recovery. Select Physical Therapy is part of the Select Medical Outpatient Division, a nationally prominent, locally driven provider of outpatient physical rehabilitation.
