Gustavo Ribeiro was born in Vitoria, Brazil. Mr Ribeiro trained at Expressão e Arte Studio de Dança and graduated from the Orlando Ballet School in 2014. The following season, Mr. Ribeiro began his professional career at the prestigious Washington Ballet Studio Company. In 2015 he danced with Alberta Ballet in Canada. Mr. Ribeiro was a Youth America Grand Prix finalist and a TOP 12 in New York. Mr. Ribeiro was offered full scholarships to study at Palucca Hochschule for Tanz Dresden, Houston Ballet II, Joffrey Academy of Dance, among others. Mr. Ribeiro has performed many principal roles and worked with well known choreographers including: Devon Carney’sThe Nutcracker as Cavalier, Jerome Robbins’ Interplay as Horseplay, Septime Webre’s Sleeping Beauty as BlueBird, Angel Corella’s Don Quixote as Lead Gypsy, George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations as Demi-Soloist, Servy Gallardo’s La Bayadére as Solor, Emily Hildebrand’s Le Corsaire as Ali, Jean Grand Maitre’s Romeo and Juliet as Paris, Kirk Peterson’s Swan Lake, Bruce Wells’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream and contemporary works by Val Caniparoli, Aszure Barton, Olivier Munos and Robert Hill. Mr. Ribeiro has also earned many awards for his excellence in choreography. In 2017 he choreographed his world premiere Tempestades da Vida in Kansas City Ballet’s New Moves. Mr. Ribeiro is a ABT National Training Curriculum certified teacher.
