KC Dance Day 2014

This past weekend we had over 1,500 people walk through the doors of the Bolender Center to enjoy a day filled with dance! From free classes to free performances, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We want to thank everyone who helped make this day possible, including the performers as well as the numerous staff and volunteers who ensured the day went smoothly.

Check out our recap video:

We also want to thank YOU for coming out to support such a great event that is meant to inspire a love of dance within the KC community. We hope to see you all back in our building or at the Kauffman Center for future Kansas City Ballet performances.

Take a look below at some photos from the day taken by talented local photographer, Brett Pruitt of East Market Studios.

Dancer for a Day 2014

Last week, we had about 25 first through third graders at the Bolender Center for our annual Dancer for a Day. They were able to learn about dance and take classes from KCB School Instructor Ms. Skyler as well as Outreach Director Linda Martin.

The kids also had the opportunity to watch the KCB Company Dancers during class and visited the costume shop in our building. They had a ton of fun making music, creating dance, and making new friends! Check out the photos below from the exciting day:
