The MidWest Youth Ballet is made up of 30 dancers ranging in age from 13-18, who study under the directorship of Alecia Good and the faculty of the Kansas City Ballet School. The company presents two major performances each season, showcasing many original works by local and national choreographers, as well as new emerging artists.

The MidWest Youth Ballet was a member of the nationally recognized Regional Dance America organization from 2002-2008; most recently being promoted to an “Honor” company. In the summer of 2005, the company traveled to Europe for two weeks to perform with the “Young Tanzsommer” festival in Austria and Germany and will return again the summer of 2008.
