Greetings from the BARRE Board!

BARRE Secretary Kimberlee Ried, Treasurer Christopher Knoll,
President Susan Wilper, and Events Chair Ruth Rostocil.

This year we have been busy 'raising the barre' and trying to live up to our motto 'Art You Can Party With." We have had a lot of fun in the process, and we thank you for attending the events and helping to make our efforts successful.

Over the past couple of months, we have been busy planning for next year. This past February, an electronic survey was emailed to all BARRE members. Thanks to your survey responses we have tailored next season to what you want! Our season performance happy hours will be moving to Friday to better accommodate many of your schedules. We are also planning some new venues and events such as putt putt with the dancers and a salsa party to add spice and variety to your dance experience. In addition there will be behind the scenes and educational opportunities intermingled with our events. We are truly excited for next year!

But we’re not done with this year yet. The BARRE's last event is an opportunity for you to meet the board and find out exactly what’s in store for next season. Please join us at the Dark Horse Tavern, located at 4112 Pennsylvania Avenue in Kansas City, MO, on Tuesday, June 7, at 7:00 p.m. for our annual meeting.

Just a reminder, it’s never too late to renew or to join BARRE for the first time!!! BARRE memberships include a Kansas City Ballet season ticket and free admittance to certain BARRE events. Memberships are only $40. Click here to sign up online or call 816-931-223 x375.

I would also like to recognize the BARRE Board for all their hard work this year: Vice President Michelle Morse, Secretary Kimberlee Ried, Treasurer Christopher Knoll, and Events Chair Ruth Rostocil. The BARRE would not be where it is today without their help. Anyone interested in serving in a leadership role next year may contact Karen Bowser at kbowser@kcballet.org and she will forward your information to me.

Thanks again for being a part of the BARRE, and we’ll look forward to seeing you on June 7th.

Cheers!

Susan Wilper
BARRE President
