I begin my second year as School Director I thank all the students,
parents and staff of the Kansas City Ballet School for such a wonderful

School Introduces New & Expanded Curriculum
Kansas City Ballet School classes start September 6, 2005, and will
run until May 25, 2006. Kansas City Ballet School offers two tracks
of study; one for the career-minded student who aspires to be a professional
dancer; the other is for children and adults who wish to study for
recreational reasons and want the best training available. All classes
are taught by highly-qualified professionals with the experience and
dedication to guide, inspire and nurture all students to be their
best, regardless of their goals in dance.

KCB School Welcomes New & Returning
Faculty
KCB
School faculty expands this fall with the addition of Angelie Melzer
and Tamara Carson, and the return of Flo Klenken.
Angelie Melzer
joins the Kansas City Ballet School faculty after performing and teaching
with numerous professional companies through the United States including
Colorado Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Aspen/Santa Fe Ballet, and Dayton
Ballet.

Girl to Partner With KCB School
Kansas City Ballet School is dancing with American Girl this
fall. “Dance Through Time, ” a fashion show hosted by
the Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties to benefit children’s
charities, will be held Saturday, September 10th, 2005. The 11th Annual
event will be held at 11:00 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., at the
Pembroke Hill School’s Hall Student Center, 5121 State Line
Road, Kansas City, Missouri.

School Summer Intensive Surpasses Expectations
We
thought last year’s summer intensive was good! Kansas City Ballet
School’s Summer Intensive had an 8% increase in enrollment over
2004. This past June 165 students, selected from a 24 city national
audition tour, had the opportunity to train in a professional company/school
atmosphere.

KCB School Has a Baby Boom!
Four staff
members at the school have expanded their families this year.
Tamara Sanders
delivered twins Marisa and Juliette in August 2004. Tamara teaches
Levels III and IV at Kansas City Ballet School.
