Announcing the 2004-05 ROAD T-Shirt Design & Winners

This past March, 100 hopeful young Reach Out And Dance students submitted their own t-shirt designs for the 2004-05 official ROAD shirt. Kansas City Ballet company dancers and staff voted for their favorite design from 10 semifinalists. It was a very close contest, but the winning design (pictured right) was created by a team of two young ROAD students from Broken Arrow Elementary in Shawnee, Ashley Sanders and Michelle Stuessi (see below).

Ashley, a fourth grade student, likes to sing and dance. She’s 10 years old, plays soccer for Shawnee Elite and is in gymnastics classes. She’s the proud owner of two dogs.

Michelle, also a fourth grader, is 10 years old, studies dance and piano and also plays softball. Her eight pets consist of three horses, one dog, two cats and two fish.

Congratulations to Ashley and Michelle!
