Breanne Starke Ms. Starke, a native of Long Island, New York, began her formal ballet training at Seiskaya Ballet Academy. She went on to study with Maggie Black for four years. She attended Walnut Hill on scholarship, training under the direction of Michael Owen and Samuel Kurkjian. In 2003 and 2004, Ms. Starke was recognized by American Ballet Theatre as a National Training Scholar. Since joining Kansas City Ballet, she has enjoyed performing Concerto Barocco, ZuZu Lounge, Valse Fantaisie, and Pas de Dix. Her favorite roles include the Ballerina in Deuce Coupe, King Alcohol in Hey-Hay, Goin' to Kansas City, a cousin in Romeo and Juliet , Polyhymnia in Apollo, and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. This is her sixth season with Kansas City Ballet.
