Breanne Starke Ms. Starke, a native of Long Island, New York, began her formal ballet training at Seiskaya Ballet Academy. She went on to study with Maggie Black for four years. She attended Walnut Hill on scholarship, training under the direction of Michael Owen and Samuel Kurkjian. In 2003 and 2004, Ms. Starke was recognized by American Ballet Theatre as a National Training Scholar. Since joining Kansas City Ballet, she has enjoyed performing Concerto Barocco, As Time Goes By, Gingham Shift, ZuZu Lounge, Valse Fantaisie, Arabian and Doll in The Nutcracker, and the Ballerina in Deuce Coupe. This is her fourth season with Kansas City Ballet.
